Dutch Rhythm Combo main man Felix Haaksman seems to have ants in his pants. Over the years, he’s turned his hands to disco calypso, Latin grooves and afrobeat. Here, his latest latin-flavoured single ‘Alerta’ gets the nu-disco treatment with Ajello and Luminodisco providing the rubs. Ajello’s Vocal Version sits somewhere between comfy deep house and sparkly nu-disco, layering the Spanish vocal over a bubbling bed of spacey synths and a rock solid groove. There’s also a sparser, straight-up deep house dub version. Luminodisco, on the other hand, delivers two contrsting mixes. a pleasingly electronic Deeper Mix and a more disco-flavoured Happy Mix. Both are well worhty of plays
