New AJELLO remix on brazilian D-Edge label, from the infamous club in Sao Paulo!
A belated appearance on vinyl for this rather fine release from Berlin dwelling Brazilian Rotci, replete with remixes from Ajello and Terrence Parker! “The Classic Age” perfectly incapsulates all the various influences that have informed the Brazilian’s production path to date, with classic pianoline slipping effortlessy over the throbbling Italo bassline, jacking Chi Town rhythms, Motor City melodies and subtle guitars of latter day disco. Thankfully in the hands of Rotciv, all these various sounds meld together with aplomb as opposed to sounding like a mess. Italian maestros AJELLO opt for the dubby 80s disco route, slipping in some excellent finger snapping rhythms before settling into the mid section that makes optimum usage of the piano!

A pleasure to do a remix for a friend’s act, and a buddy label. The original “Joshua” was really inspiring for me, with tha live played bass, and great percussions…so I turned the track into my latest trip…piano house with nineties flavour. I Played on it some piano chords, pumped up the groove with my drum machines, and jammed with my minimoog and korg trident keyboards.The results is an uptempo housey track with a modern groove and retro feeling.
