| As well as dominating the recent Italo!House! Now! compilation on Gomma with the brilliance of “Crystal Babe” and dropping some equally fine cavernous space disco thump for Mad On the Moon and DWDK, Ajello has delivered a steady run of edits tailor made for the floor this year courtesy of Demo Disc. This release mark’s Ajello fifth clutch of edits for the imprint with the standard more than mainteined. “10% Is Gone” sets the tone with a rasping kick drum beat soon wrapped in a drunken Purple Haze style riff before settling into a delay heavy groove thats sounds like Joe Strummer over a Nile Rodgers production. On the flip “Free Luv” is the most delightfully camp slice of Italo Discowe’ve heard this week which is really made special by the oh-so dirty arpeggiated synth line that pulses throughout. “In Upper Case” rounds things off with an angular Bowie-esque flexer that might borrow liberally from Kraftwerk
