| Ajello are back, this time on english label Deep Freeze following a previous outing on Radius. This time the Italo inspired sound has been watered down in favour of a more straight up nu disco style. Kicking off with “Over The Sky” a house tempo track with one of those Ame style synth lines, big old Moroder bass, Cowley percussions and a cool analogue line running through the middle. Next up is “Ripley’s Party” which hints at the dark 80s with eerie synths, a staccato synth wobbles and a Disco vocal sample. Over on side-B Reverso 68 remix “Over The Sky” injecting the original with a bit of oomph, more layers of 80s synth stabs, big dirty bass and a big old Moscow Disco style bass half way in. Last up is “Space Love” a sparse exercise in spacious, spacey disco with some punk funk influences. | |
